OVERSEAS TESTING |

Sending samples to AAFT from outside Australia
AAFT are able to extend their full range of fibre measurement services to clients throughout the world. Since 2001, we have been testing samples from outside Australia for the purposes of selecting exported/imported breeding stock as well as routine breeding and management objectives.
Importation Conditions
Australia has conditions on the entry of raw fibre samples. In the main, the samples need to be free of contaminants such as seeds, faeces, vegetation and grease.
So that we are able to advise on latest quarantine requirements, we ask that you contact us before sending the samples. We will then recommend suitable preparation of your fibre samples for sending to Australia. We will also email the latest Import Declaration Form.
Pricing
The cost for testing samples sent from overseas clients is the same as our local pricing, (please see separate page ‘Price List). Please note, the price list is in Australian dollars (AUD).
Clients have the option of sending payment with the samples or make payment on receipt of invoice. The invoice amount will be in AUD. We are pleased to accept payments made in overseas currency.
Testing of samples from overseas will, however, need to have airmail postage costs added as well as currency exchange fees if applicable.
The easiest way to check on the appropriate amount is to ask for a price before sending the samples.
Transmission of Results
Hardcopies of results will be sent via airmail. If requested, we will also send results by email.
AAFT R&D Service
As clients of AAFT, you will be sent copies of our alpaca fibre testing research and development information, as it becomes available.
Overseas Workshops
AAFT are in a position to conduct fibre testing workshops at venues outside Australia. Obviously, the cost of travel would need to be recovered from the event fees. If alpaca breeding associations/groups from outside Australia are interested in such workshops, please contact AAFT for an initial discussion.
